As a Parent Coach, I believe that parenting is one of the toughest jobs any person can take on and one that most of us assume with no prior training. No wonder parents often feel frustrated, exhausted and out of their depth. I believe in empowering parents by helping them better understand their children and themselves. I also believe that every family deserves to be seen from a holistic point of view as the most important unit of society – that every parent deserves to be helped in the demanding role of bringing up children – and that every child deserves to be treated with respect as a unique individual.

Anastasia Seale

Born in Moscow, Russia, I received the last two years of my high school education in the US. I attended university in Austria and,, from 1997 in the UK, majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Psychology (including child psychology). After graduating from law school in London, I qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2002. Subsequently, I worked as a finance lawyer at Herbert Smith, as an in-house finance counsel at British Petroleum, and as a corporate lawyer at MFB Solicitors.

The relevant part of my story dates back to 2007, when I began to encounter some behavioural challenges better with my eldest son. His tantrums and my aggression and subsequent guilt, caused me to wonder if there were ways of communicating with children. After searching for answers in various parenting publications, I finally discovered How to Talk so Kids Will Listen and How to Listen so Kids Will Talk, by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish. This wonderful resource provided the inspiration for what has become my second and most rewarding career as a parent coach.

I was captivated by and became totally absorbed in what I was learning. I wanted to share with other parents the invaluable skills I had learned that had helped me so much. In October 2008 I began leading “How to Talk so Kids Will Listen” courses based on the acclaimed Faber-Mazlish principles.

After giving up my legal career in March 2010, I also began offering parents Faber and Mazlish's “Siblings Without Rivalry” courses. In May 2010 I qualified as a Parent Group Leader with Family Links, which enabled me to run the Nurturing Programme. In July 2014 I qualified as the first ever accredited Buttons Facilitator in the UK of the “When Your Kids Push Your Buttons” course developed by Bonnie Harris, M.S.Ed.  I also completed the NHS/CAMHS 10-week parenting programme, “The Incredible Years,” developed by Carolyn Webster-Stratton, Ph.D., “Acceptance and Commitment Therapy With Children and Parents,” run by Dr. Chris McCurry, and “Childhood Trauma,” a therapeutic intensive course run by Irina Mlodik. Presently, I am a candidate parent coach with The Academy for Coaching Parents International.

I live with my husband and two sons in South West London and conduct Parenting  courses/workshops/talks throughout London and beyond.  I also “bring” my courses/workshops/talks to locations more convenient for my clients.  In addition, I also provide parents one-to-one support on an individual basis. Private one-to-one sessions take place in person as well as by Skype.
